Oxalic acid is a very effective treatment for Varroa mite control in honeybee colonies. Beekeepers using this mite control method have two options of application: vaporization and fogging. Vaporization is the most preferred method, as it ensures that the acid has spread to all areas of the hive including inside the uncapped cells.

Use
The Bhive Oxalic Acid Vaporiser is hard-wearing and easy to use. When using, apply only to outdoor colonies with a restricted lower hive entrance. Seal all upper hive entrances and cracks with tape to avoid escape of Oxalic Acid vapor. Insert the vaporizer through the bottom entrance. Apply heat until all Oxalic Acid has sublimated, which typically takes less than 5 minutes. This vaporizer comes equipped with heavy gauge cables, and is as economical as it is tough.

Use appropriate protection as you should not breathe the oxalic acid fumes.
