The extended queen cage is light-weight with ample sized communication holes for the worker bees. The cage contains a little hiding area for the queen in case of hostile bees. The thinner design allows the cage to fit much better between frames inside the hive. This is a great tool for separating your queen from the rest of your hive, or to check that the queen is in good health. It allows you to safely hold your queen while you work while still giving the worker bees full access to the queen.
